4090 Sawmill Road from Adam Shapiro

During most of the 19th century, every building in historic Dyerstown was owned by the same family, all descendents of John Dyer who built the first grist mill in the township. This quiet hamlet of fine stone houses was luckily passed by when Route 611 was completed due west of Old Easton Road, reducing the old turnpike to a minor back road. And so it stands today.

Our L-shaped stucco-over-stone farmhouse sits proudly amid its neighbors, with rows of grey-shuttered windows and crisp red doors. A sunny new kitchen with farmhouse sink and copper faucets provides great storage, and the original part of the house contains a dining room that can seat your largest holiday gathering.

An interior Dutch door opens to an expansive family room that could encompass an office, with two entrances including French Doors. A two-story red barn measuring 60x25 serves as a garage and workshop with many possibilities.

Extra parking, inground pool and brick patio make this house a great gathering spot. Minutes from Doylestown, with shopping and fine restaurants and even a cinema.
